Mission
Forever Young Family Yoga was a space created for the entire family to enjoy the many benefits of yoga at any age and at an affordable price. FYFY offers a wide variety of yoga classes from prenatal to postnatal yoga, parent and baby yoga, parent-child yoga (walking-5yrs), kids yoga (5-8yrs), tweens and teens, gentle/restorative yoga, an adult vinyasa flow class and a family class for everyone to enjoy together!
Vision
Our vision is to create a place for families to go to
not just practice yoga, but a place to bond, build friendships and have
fun while doing something that is great for your mind, body and
spirit! Our convenient Appleton location in the lower level of Ladybug Bistro offers lots of other amenities for you to enjoy before or after
your yoga class – or while your child or family member is attending a
yoga class. Our studio is committed to making you and anyone in your
family comfortable and at ease while practicing or learning yoga for the
first time. We have all the supplies you will need for class so no
need to bring anything with you but yourself and your child like
spirit.
Benefits of Family Yoga
Yoga is adaptable enough for the whole family to enjoy; moms, dads, kids, and grandparents can all benefit from a yoga practice that fits their needs and stage of life. There are many benefits from practicing yoga as a family or independently. Yoga provides an opportunity for the entire family to stay active and have fun together that will build a bond for a lifetime. It helps you to find that calm and peace in your day that we so often do not make time for. In the kids classes there is an opportunity for them to be creative, burn some energy, build confidence in learning or mastering a pose, becoming more aware of their feelings and bodies, and most of all building new friendships. Yoga helps you to stay limber through the years by stretching and strenthening your muscles and joints keeping you healthy and active. You learn to just breath and how there are so many ways to do that, which in turn helps to oxygenate your bodies so we can continue to stay healthy. Yoga is a wonderful way to release the stress and anxiety from your life and help you to find balance again.
Starting yoga in a prenatal yoga class and continuing on through to the mom/infant class then onto the parent/child class only strengthens those benefits and creates an even greater bond between parents and their children. Children can start to learn at a very young age that taking time to stay active and calm the mind are a very important parts in creating a healthy and happy life!
